Selecting the Report ViewYou use the Maintain Report View and Object Key
dialog box to generate the final reports for extended safety data sheets (eSDS) and control the structure and layout of the reports. You can also hide certain usages, which are then excluded from the final report.
You have chosen the
pushbutton with the quick info text Display eSDS on Front End – Contains Customer-/Material-Specific Data
.
Note
This pushbutton is displayed in the report tree only if the report no longer has the Report Request
status and the report template contains a repeating group with instance control.
You can choose between the following report views:
Parameter value | Description of the report view |
|---|---|
ALL | eSDS attachment with all data |
NON | Main part (no eSDS attachment) |
OWN | eSDS attachment with own usages |
STD | eSDS attachment with standard usages |
CUS | eSDS attachment with customer-specific usages |
MAT | eSDS attachment with material-specific usages |
In the standard system, the data is filtered according to certain characteristics of the value assignment type Use and Exposure Scenario
(SAP_EHS_1027_001
) when the final reports are generated. Certain output rules also apply to the individual report views.
You use the output rules for a report view to specify which data is included in the final report.
Note
The output rules for a report view always refer to the value assignment instances that contain information about usages and apply only to objects that are output using a MIC repeating group (master group with instance control) (see also Repeating Group Types ).
Caution
These output rules cannot be used to control individual characteristics.
You have entered a customer number in the Customer
field.
The system first selects all value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes,
irrespective of the specified customer number.
The system then selects the value assignment instances where the valuated characteristic Customer
matches the specified customer number.
If the value assignment instances read in step 2 also contain the
characteristic Output Control = Replaces Standard Usage
, the data for the value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes
is rejected. Only customer-specific data is included in the eSDS.
characteristic Output Control = No Data
, the eSDS contains the data for these value assignment instances in addition to all value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes
.
In the input parameters for the report view, you have entered a customer number in the Customer
field and a material number in the Material
field.
The system first selects all value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes,
irrespective of the specified customer number and specified material number.
The system then selects the value assignment instances where the Customer
and/or Material
characteristic has been assigned a value. The customer number and/or material number specified here must match the data in the input parameter for the report view. If the characteristic Output Control = Replaces Standard Usage
is also specified, the data for the value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes
is rejected.
If the characteristic Output Control = Replaces Standard Usage
is specified, the following output rules also apply to the Customer-Specific
report view (with customer and material details):
The system selects all value assignment instances in which only the Material
characteristic has been assigned a value. The material number specified here must match the material number in the input parameter for the report view. These value assignment instances are output on the eSDS.
The system selects all value assignment instances in which only the Customer
characteristic has been assigned a value. The customer number specified here must match the customer number in the input parameter for the report view. These value assignment instances are output on the eSDS in addition to the value assignment instances with the valuated Material
characteristic from step 1.
If both the Material
and Customer
characteristics are assigned a value in a value assignment instance and if the information about the material and customer match the input parameters for the report view, all of the value assignment instances with the assigned characteristics Material
or Customer
from steps 1 and 2 are rejected. In this case, the eSDS features only those value assignments where both characteristics are assigned a value.
If the characteristic Output Control = No Data
is specified, the following output rules also apply to the customer view (with customer and material details):
The system selects all value assignment instances in which only the Material
characteristic has been assigned a value. The material number specified here must match the material number in the input parameter for the report view. These value assignment instances are output on the eSDS.
The system selects all value assignment instances in which only the Customer
characteristic has been assigned a value. The customer number specified here must match the customer number in the input parameter for the report view. These value assignment instances are output on the eSDS in addition to the value assignment instances with the valuated Material
characteristic from step 1.
If both the Material
and Customer
characteristics are assigned a value in a value assignment instance and if the information matches the input parameters for the report view, all of the value assignment instances with the assigned characteristics Material
or Customer
from steps 1 and 2 are rejected. In this case, the eSDS features only those value assignments where both characteristics are assigned a value. In addition, all of the value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes
are output on the eSDS if they were not rejected in step 3.
You have entered a material number in the Material
field.
The system first selects all value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes,
irrespective of the specified material number.
The system then selects the value assignment instances where the Material
characteristic has been assigned a value. The material number specified here must match the material number in the input parameter for the report view.
If the value assignment instances read in step 2 also contain the
characteristic Output Control = Replaces Standard Usage
, the data for the value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes
from step 1 is rejected .
Only material-specific data is included in the eSDS.
characteristic Output Control = No Data
, the eSDS contains the data for these value assignment instances in addition to all value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes
from step 1.
Choose the eSDS (All Files)
option when you generate the final reports.
The system selects all the value assignment instances of the value assignment type Use and Exposure Scenario
. All of the value assignment instances are output on the eSDS, irrespective of the specified material number and/or customer number.
Choose the Main Part (No Attachment)
option when you generate the final reports.
The system selects none of the value assignment instances of the value assignment type Use and Exposure Scenario
. An eSDS is output without an attachment.
Choose the Standard Usage
option when generating the final reports.
The system selects all value assignment instances with the characteristic Standard Usage = Yes,
irrespective of the specified material number and/or customer number. Only value assignment instances where the Standard Usage
characteristic is assigned Yes
are output on the eSDS.
Choose the Own Usage
option when generating the final reports.
The system selects all value assignment instances with the characteristic Own Usage = Yes,
irrespective of the specified material number and/or customer number. Only value assignment instances where the Own Usage
characteristic is assigned Yes
are output on the eSDS.
